Discerning God’s Will
... The safest place is not where life seems easiest, but where Christ is leading.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Devotion:
Today’s Scripture reminds us that knowing God’s will begins with a heart that is surrendered to Him.
Many believers desire to know God’s direction for important decisions, yet Scripture teaches that discerning His will is closely connected to living in obedience. Paul urges us not merely to seek guidance, but to present ourselves as living sacrifices to God. A life set apart for Him becomes a life that is increasingly able to recognize His leading.
The transformation Paul describes begins with the renewing of the mind. Instead of allowing our thinking to be shaped by the values and priorities of the world, God calls us to think according to His Word. As our minds are renewed through Scripture, prayer, and fellowship with Him, our ability to recognize His wisdom grows stronger. His will becomes clearer, not because every question is immediately answered, but because our hearts are learning to desire what pleases Him.
There will be times when we do not fully understand God’s timing or His purposes. Even then, we can trust His character. He is a gracious Father who patiently leads His children, correcting, teaching, and directing them as they walk with Him. Our confidence rests not in our ability to discern perfectly, but in His faithfulness to guide those who sincerely seek Him.
When facing decisions, let God’s Word shape your thinking before the world shapes your expectations. A surrendered life and a renewed mind provide fertile ground for faithful discernment, allowing you to walk with confidence in the Lord rather than in your own understanding.

Prayer:
Father, help me to present my life to You each day as an offering of worship. Renew my mind through Your Word, and give me wisdom to recognize and follow Your will with humility and trust. Amen.
