Sweet Fellowship With God
... May we pursue daily fellowship with God, knowing that a life rooted in His presence bears fruit that will remain for eternity.

The Spirit of the Lord spoke by me, and His word was on my tongue.
Devotion:
Today's Scripture reminds us that a life shaped by God's presence leaves a lasting testimony.
As David neared the end of his life, he reflected on the work God had done through him. David had been many things, shepherd, warrior, king, and leader of a nation. Yet among the descriptions recorded about him is one that reveals the deepest priority of his heart: he was known as the sweet psalmist of Israel. More than military victories or royal accomplishments, David desired to be remembered as a man who enjoyed fellowship with the Lord.
David's life was not without failure. He openly acknowledged that he had not always lived as faithfully as he should have. His family experienced pain, and his own sins brought serious consequences. Nevertheless, David rested in God's covenant mercy. He understood that his standing before God was not based upon flawless performance, but upon the faithfulness and grace of the Lord.
This remains true for believers today. The accomplishments of this world, though not unimportant, are temporary. Positions, achievements, and recognition eventually fade. What endures is a life cultivated in communion with God through His Word, prayer, worship, and obedience. The Lord desires that His people walk closely with Him, not merely serve Him from a distance.
As we abide in Christ, our lives increasingly reflect His character. Others may remember our work or achievements, but the greatest testimony we can leave is that we loved the Lord and walked faithfully with Him.
Prayer:
Father, teach me to treasure fellowship with You above every earthly accomplishment. Help me to walk closely with You through Your Word and to live in faithful obedience to Christ each day. Amen.
